Personal Belongings & Clothing

SJPS requires that all students wear uniforms. With the exception of Friday, uniforms must be worn daily. On Friday’s children may wear other clothes that are school and age appropriate (no high heels or jewelry). Blue jeans can be worn on Fridays only!

Uniform Color Combinations:

  • White Top/Khaki Bottom
  • White Top/Navy Blue Bottom
  • Navy Blue Top/Khaki Bottom

Children should also have outerwear that is suited to the weather to allow for outdoor play. In case of an emergency, children should bring an entire change of clothing (including socks) in a labeled bag to be kept at school. Two entire changes are recommended for toddlers.

All sweaters, hats, coats, mittens, boots, etc. must be labeled with the child’s name. For safety reasons, clogs, sandals, open-toe, and slick-soled shoes may not be worn. Your child will also need two (2) small covers for use at naptime. These items will be stored in your child’s backpack (roller bags are discouraged) until rest time. Please keep in mind that space is limited, thus small blankets are recommended. Candy, gum, war toys, toy weapons, jewelry and money are not allowed at school. Toys should be sent only on designated share days. Please be sure your child does not put any of these items in his/her pockets or book bag. Medication is not allowed in cubbies or book bags.
