Welcome to Saint John Preparatory School (SJPS)!

My name is McKenzie Nelson, and I have the great privilege of serving as the Director here at SJPS.

It is both an honor and a joy to support our families, staff, and students in building a learning community where intentional teaching, nurturing relationships, and a deep sense of purpose guide everything we do. At SJPS, every child is known, valued, and empowered.

Our preparatory program is rooted in the belief that early education is not only foundational, but truly transformational. Each day, our team strives to spark curiosity, nurture confidence, and foster both academic excellence and social-emotional growth. We focus on the development of the whole child—cognitively, physically, emotionally, and creatively—so they are well-equipped for each new stage of learning and for life beyond the classroom.

I am proud to lead a passionate team of educators who bring heart, expertise, and professionalism to every classroom. Together, we cultivate a culture where families are true partners, staff are supported, and children flourish.
